FAQ

What should my child wear to their first lesson?

Any loose comfortable clothing they can move freely in, e.g.tracksuit bottoms or shorts and a T-shirt.

Does my child require any special equipment?

No, just a small bottle of water: we have drinks breaks roughly every 15-20 minutes.

Do I need to book a place in advance?

Due to the popularity of some of our Tigers classes, please contact us in advance to ensure availability.

Can I watch my child take part?

Of course, parents are more than welcome to watch from the viewing window of the class or in some cases you can sit at the back of class. All we ask is that noise is kept to a minimum so as not to distract the students during the lesson.

Child Protection Policy Statement

All instructors are either fully qualified TAGB instructors, assistant instructors or black belts with at least 4 years experience in Taekwondo. As instructors, we continue to train ourselves and to keep up to date with current research about children’s health and fitness, as well as ideas that are effective and safe.

In keeping with the BTC (British Taekwondo Council) and TAGB Child Protection Policy, all instructors undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check prior to taking up their positions. All instructors receive certification confirming their eligibility to instruct in the art of Taekwondo and their suitability in working with children and vulnerable adults. All TAGB instructors currently CRB checked can be viewed on the BTC website www.britishtaekwondocouncil.org.
